Extracts from Reports of Christian Science Committees on Publication

Many papers have printed our lectures, either in whole or in part, and many publishers have reprinted poems, editorials, and some of the religious articles from The Christian Science Monitor. This kindly attitude on the part of our publishers and editors merits more than passing attention because it indicates a better understanding and a more tolerant spirit, resulting largely from the wise and loving Christian services of those who have carred on the work of this department in past years.

Many of our Maine newspapers are regularly printing each week the excerpts prepared by the State Committee from our Lesson-Sermons. These excerpts contain the subject of the Lesson-Sermon for the week, the Golden Text, and one citation each from the Bible and Science and Health selected from the citations in the Christian Science Quarterly. These are so arrenged as to show the teaching of Christian Science on the particular subject for the week.

Every member of the state legislature was offered a three months' subscription to The Christian Science Monitor during the legislative session this last winter, and a large number gratefully accepted this offer. Several expressed their plesure in receiving the Monitor because of its high place in their esteem. Several of the legislators asked that the Monitor be sent to their homes.
