Although I was reared in a Christian home, nevertheless, upon leaving it as a youth I left the church of my forefathers and for many years, thought of religion only in the abstract.

Always handicapped by numerous physical limitations, I had long sought physicians for relief from impaired vision. Various medical including specialists, had tried and failed to effect healing or even improvement. At this juncture Christian Science was recommended and, without antagonism or prejudice, but frankly skeptical, I made my way to the office of a Christian Science practitioner.

The decision to take this step was hastened by the facat that I had broken my glasses and in suffering acute pain. The practitioner imparted to me simple fundamentals of Christian Science, and I recall that my mental reaction was one of incredulity. However, at my request, a treatment was given and I took my leave. Upon reaching the street I became suddenly aware that the acute pain in the eyes had vanished. This occurred more than fifteen years ago and that pain has never returned, and the broken glasses were never replaced. In that one treatment my vision was perfectly and permanently restored.
