Be Strong

Be strong, dear one. God hath in man
His image, pure and changeless, wrought;
And naught can mar His perfect plan,
Or e'er deface that image aught.

Hold to this thought: our God is Love,
And truth is Love's all-present light,
Within, without, beneath, above,
All-powerful in its tender might.

And in this Love your being lives,
Not subject to the world's alarms,
The heir to all God's bounty gives,
Held in the everlasting arms.
