In gratitude to God, and to our Leader, Mrs. Eddy, I should like to add my testimony to those of numerous others who have benefited by the understanding of the truth that makes free.

Some fourteen years ago I denounced Christian Science, and two hours before I took up the study was expounding on the stupidity of a people who did not believe in materia medica as a means of healing. I had read much literature antagonisitc to Christian Science, and like many others did not trouble to study the real thing, but believed what was written by those who I now know had no knowledge of the subject. After about a month's study of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, I was healed of ills present since childhood. I had two outstanding healings. A badly sprained wrist, which the doctor said would take weeks to heal, was healed in a few days; in fact, the healing started almost at once on my declaring the truth in "the scientific statement of being" (ibid., p. 468). It was two hours before a practitioner could be procured; the pain lessened, and I did not lose any sleep, nor was I inconvenienced in my work.

Another demonstration of the truth was made following a motor accident. My leg was badly twisted, and the pain was intense. I was wonderfully protected in that the car did not go over my foot. It was too late to get in touch with a practitioner, so I worked for five hours, knowing there are no accidents in divine Mind. The pain ceased, and the following afternoon I was able to walk to the top of a hill without any aid.
