Christian Science does meet every human need when...
Christian Science does meet every human need when earnestly applied, as has been proved to me for many years. I recall a beautiful healing of the results of a fall on my spine, when I was about seventeen years of age. Help was asked from a practitioner, and the following day found me up and about, as active as ever. Two instantaneous healings of influenza were experienced, after one treatment in each case. Ptomaine poisoning, sprained ankle, a poisoned foot, toothache, a festered finger, sore eyes, colds, and many other discordant conditions have yielded to the truth. I am especially grateful for the protection afforded by Christian Science, and for those beautiful havens of rest, the Christian Science Reading Rooms, and their kind and loving attendants.
On one occasion a telephone message was being taken at my home, in regard to employment, while I was sitting in a practitioner's office having help on this problem. The next morning the position was applied for and obtained. Laws of limitation have been completely broken down in regard to changing from one line of work to another. God's abundance of good has been proved to me time and again, and only when lack of love, humility, and receptivity to good has found lodgment in my thinking have I experienced a sense of lack in a human way.
Healings of disposition are gradually taking place as I imbibe more of the Christ-spirit and strive for a sweeter sense of brotherly love. Many rebukes have taught me more love for others, and for each one I am grateful, as they have all been much-needed lessons.
