Will you be kind enough to grant me sufficient space in your columns to correct a misstatement which appeared in the Weatherford Daily Herald on July 17. Upon that date your report of a revival meeting quotes a speaker as listing Christian Science among those systems "which declare they were to tell what their leaders claim they saw when caught up." Either the speaker on this occasion was not correctly informed on his subject or he was reported incorrectly, as at no time has Mary Baker Eddy ever made any claim to having made her discovery by being "caught up."

Mrs. Eddy's discovery of Christian Science was the result of long years of consecrated study of the Holy Scriptures. Christian Science is a religion of love, based on the Bible, and in it mysticism has no part whatever. In the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," Mrs. Eddy states (p. 123): "The term Christian Science was introduced by the author to designate the scientific system of divine healing.
