Hope, Faith, Understanding

Hope is a potential factor in human consciousness tending Spiritward. Righteous hope ever promises betterment to mankind, for it is never associated with evil intent. It may be said to serve as a kind of first step toward final deliverance from all materiality and suffering. Its wholesome influence has been accorded praise by bard and prophet. The poet Goldsmith wrote:

Hope, like the gleaming taper's light,
Adorns and cheers our way;
And still, as darker grows the night,
Emits a brighter ray.
