For about nineteen years Christian Science has been my only physician. It seems, therefore, that I may claim the privilege of testifying to the healing and regenerating power of this Science as taught and established by our Leader, Mary Baker Eddy.

About twenty-four years ago Christian Science was brought to my notice. I asked a friend if she could tell me anything about it, and she took me to a lecture The one thought that I retained from that lecture was the fact that God is Principle. On discovering that Mrs. Eddy used this word as a synonym for God, I looked up its meaning in a dictionary, and found it to correspond so exactly with our Leader's use of the term that I have never since been tempted to doubt her use of words.

One day I borrowed a copy of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" and read it all day long. The next morning I slipped on some stairs, and to save myself I turned to one side, so that my back, one wrist, and an ankle were hurt. My first thought was, Here is an opportunity to put into practice e I have been reading; and when I got to my room I asked myself, Have I found the truth in Christian Science? The answer was an immediate and instantaneous healing of all pain. A hymn says that God, "when we doubted, sent us light," and through the years that have passed, this experience has been a beacon light whenever any doubt has presented itself. I had learned at my first Christian Science lecture that God is Principle, and we know that Principle does not change.
