Extracts from Reports of Christian Science Committees on Publication

The Lesson-Sermon excerpts are supplied by this Committee to nine newspapers, all except one publishing them practically every week. One man in a country town looked forward each week to the excerpt. He did not know anything about Christian Science, nor had he seen the textbook, but every week he would compare the Bible passage quoted with his Bible. Later on someone with whom he worked mentioned the textbook to him. He was able to procure Science and Health, and is now a member of a Christian Science Society.

Of the articles and letters appearing in the press concerning Christian Science and our Leader, five called for correction, and the letters from this Committee were in each case willingly published in full. One of the recent corrections brought an inquirer to a Christian Science Reading Room. The lady told the librarian that she had read a letter written by this Committee, and felt she would like to know more about Christian Science.

Two lectures were delivered in Brisbane, and one in Ipswich, in August last. These lectures were all well attended. The Sunday afternoon lecture was radiocast by Station 4BC, and relayed through 4MB, 4RO, and 4TO. This lecture was well received, and many letters have come to hand expressing gratitude for this radiocast. Many people who were not able to be present, owing to some discordant condition, reported with gratitude a complete healing after the radiocast.
