It is with gratitude for what Christian Science has done...
It is with gratitude for what Christian Science has done for me that I write this testimony. I have been healed of an extremely unhappy, melancholy disposition through the study of Christian Science. On page 60 of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" Mrs. Eddy says, "Soul has infinite resources with which to bless mankind, and happiness would be more readily attained and would be more secure in our keeping, if sought in Soul." I have also been healed of sick headaches, from which I suffered severely at intervals.
When a nephew was about one year old, he developed what physicians called scrotum rupture. An operation was advised. At this time his parents decided to try Christian Science, so all material remedies were discarded and Christian Science treatment was begun. The intense suffering, which usually had lasted from two to four hours, began to lessen, and in about six months the child was completely healed. That was two years ago. He is now a healthy, robust child, and his mother is an earnest student of Christian Science.
My sister, her three little children, and I are increasingly grateful for having been beautifully sustained during the so-called depression. On page 307 of "Miscellaneous Writings" Mrs. Eddy says: "God gives you His spiritual ideas, and in turn, they give you daily supplies. Never ask for to-morrow: it is enough that divine Love is an ever-present help; and if you wait, never doubting, you will have all you need every moment."—(Miss) Hattie E. Harris, South Jacksonville, Florida.
