I am very grateful that I found Christian Science a number...
I am very grateful that I found Christian Science a number of years ago, as I feel that it has entirely changed my outlook on life. My sincere gratitude for the innumerable ways in which this Science has helped me prompts the giving of this testimony. We have been blessed beyond measure by trusting God as we learn to do through the study and application of Christian Science.
One of the most outstanding healings which we have had in our family was that of a nephew who, when quite a small child, was very ill with what is known as convulsions. When the physician was unable to check them, he finally said there was nothing more he could do. A member of the family asked if she might not be permitted to call a Christian Science practitioner, as conditions looked very hopeless indeed. The practitioner arrived in a very short time and sat by the bedside, silently working in Christian Science. Not more than half an hour had elapsed before the child was sleeping peacefully. The fever soon vanished, and the next day he was up and playing, entirely normal.
One of my first experiences was a healing of a severe eye difficulty through the reading of a Christian Science Sentinel. Also at another time I had an instantaneous healing of a cold. Two healings of ptomaine poisoning were effected quickly. Deep gratitude to God, the Giver of all good, and to Christ Jesus, the Way-shower, fills my heart. To Mrs. Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, I feel that I owe a debt of gratitude for revealing to us the demonstrable truths of this Science. I am glad to be a member of The Mother Church and also of a branch church.
