Our revered Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, in establishing the Cause of Christian Science has given to mankind the reassurance of the Christ, which in my experience has brought cheer and cause for gratitude.

The light and power of this great truth, displacing and dispelling fear and disease, first became manifest in my life during wartime military service. At this time I experienced guidance and protection and was instantaneously healed of influenza during the so-called epidemic.

After I returned to civilian life the alluring depths of worldliness proved to be unsatisfying shallows of inadequacy and disquietude. "The way of transgressors is hard" indeed. And I am grateful for the purification of consciousness effected thus far through the ministry of Christian Science. To the faithful and steadfast practitioners thereof, I extend my heartfelt thanks.

My healing from the tobacco and so-called social drinking habits, with comparative freedom from physical ailments for the past sixteen years, is surely proof of God's care. As the glorious possibilities of man in His image and likeness are becoming more apparent, inharmonies of home and business life are disappearing.

It is my prayer to be increasingly faithful to the unfoldment of the truth and to the privileges of membership in The Mother Church and a Christian Science Society.
