I wish to express my sincere gratitude for what Christian Science has done for me and for my family. When this truth was first presented to me, I was making preparations for a second operation, but instead I sought the aid of a Christian Science practitioner and was quickly and permanently healed.

The demonstration for which I am most grateful is the healing of our little girl. When three years old she was taken violently ill one morning and was rendered unconscious. Help was asked from a practitioner and treatment begun. When my husband came home he was very much alarmed over her condition. Not being interested in Christian Science, he insisted upon calling a physician, and metaphysical treatment was discontinued. The child remained in a critical condition for twenty-four hours, and the physician was again called. As we were unable to secure this physician, a specialist was called in, who pronounced the case infantile paralysis. Not much hope was given for her recovery, and on his second visit he stated that nothing more could be done, and that all the medicine in the world would do no good. All symptoms of death were upon her. The physician said that she could not possibly live more than two hours, and advised if there was anything else we wished to do that we do it at once. I then talked it over with my husband, telling him that he had given materia medica a fair trial and asking him if he would now be willing for me to have a Christian Science practitioner handle the case. He gave his consent and treatment was asked for. The practitioner and I stayed with the child all night, and in the morning she was able to be at the breakfast table and eat her breakfast. Those who had seen her the day before were astonished to find her up and around, one of the neighbors exclaiming, "Are those things happening today?" This healing took place over eight years ago. Previous to this healing she had never been able to talk, but shortly afterward she began using her voice. This was certainly a wonderful proof of God's allness.

I can never express my gratitude to God for Christian Science and for Mrs. Eddy, whose unselfish life in following the Way-shower has again brought this healing truth to all mankind. I am a member of The Mother Church and also of our local branch church.
