A STATESMAN recently said, "National confidence will return just as soon as we are able to think again in terms of what we have and what we are rather than in what we have lost."

Christian Scientists may be profoundly grateful that through Mrs. Eddy's discovery and revelation they have an understanding of what God is; that they know Him as divine Mind, Mind which is all-wise and is constantly unfolding right ideas; that they are learning to prove that this one Mind directs and controls every true action; that they know how to turn to this divine Mind in every need, with the full assurance that when they follow its leadings implicitly it will lead them in right paths; that they know that man, the son of God, reflects infinite intelligence, and that all the ideas of Mind are governed by divine Principle, Life, Truth, and Love, and reflect infinite wisdom.

The understanding of what we have and what we are as God's offspring brings peace, joy, comfort, health, abun-dance of life and happiness, and gives that confidence which makes it possible at all times to go forward with assurance, because we know that God governs the universe and governs it harmoniously, and that man, His image and likeness, reflects Mind's ability and power continuously in thought and action.
