The testimonies given in our periodicals have been so...
The testimonies given in our periodicals have been so helpful to me that I wish to add mine, and join this song of praise to our God for His goodness; God who, as the Psalmist said, "healeth all thy diseases; who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies."
As I look back over the last twenty-odd years and realize the protecting power of Truth and the joy and peace that have been mine through the understanding that Christian Science has given me, I am more grateful than I can express in words. It would be immpossible to tell of all the benefits I have experienced. I have been safely carried through deep waters and healed of grief when loved ones have passed on. I have been guided and directed when in need of a home and work, and provided with abundance where before there was lack. Physical disturbances have been healed so that they have not grown to serious proportions. Declarations of the truth, as taught in Christian Science, have prevented after effects and have healed me quickly. Sprains, colds, sore throat, influenza, and other suggestions of mortal thought have been overcome through my own work or with the help of faithful practitioners.
For the understanding of the all-power of good, that "God is good, and therefore good is infinite, is All" (Science and Health, p. 399), I am indeed grateful, for it frees us from fear and gives us the comfort that Jesus promised his followers, when he said, "Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you." I am grateful for membership in The Mother Church and a branch church; for class instruction, and for our periodicals and lectures. I am especially thankful for our dear Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, who made all of these blessings possible for us.
