It is with sincere gratitude that I testify to the healing power of Christian Science.

For seven years I was considered a chronic invalid suffering from mucous colitis with hemorrhage. During this time I was under the care of a number of doctors both in England and in Australia and underwent several operations, but I was not healed.

Finally, over two years ago, I was in a very serious condition, and had just left the hospital after being there for months. I was beginning to think that my case was hopeless and that there was nothing else for me to do but return to the hospital. It was at this time that I turned to Christian Science. Two kind friends came to see me and explained to me how I could get in touch with a practitioner. I decided to do this, and they arranged for my husband to go to church, where they introduced him to a practitioner. I was confined to my bed, taking medicine five times a day, and was on a very strict diet. The practitioner began giving me absent treatment on a Friday evening; and I gave up all medicine and dieting and earnestly read Science and Health. Immediately I felt relief; on Saturday I was ever so much better; and on Sunday, although weak, I felt well enough to walk out and sit in a park to listen to a band. This rapid healing has been permanent. What seemed still more wonderful was my experience over a year ago when I gave birth to a little son, after being told by the doctors that I should never live through childbirth. The baby and I are both in the best of health.
