In the book of Genesis a vivid account is given of a devastating flood. The principal character of the story, Noah, is presented as having a conscious knowledge of the ever-presence and availability of God, hence in active communion with Deity, receiving guidance and specific instructions to which he was intelligently obedient. The result is that in the midst of great confusion he attains a demonstrated sense of safety for himself and family.
