A New Edition of Science and Health with Index to Marginal Headings

An announcement of unusual importance is made by the Trustees under the Will of Mary Baker Eddy concerning the publication of a new edition of the Christian Science textbook, which is named the Students' Edition. The new edition makes available for the first time a comprehensive index to the marginal headings, the value of which will be recognized by every student of Christian Science. The index is printed in clear, readable type, and occupies 34 pages in the back of the book.

The Students' Edition is presented in a new size, slightly smaller than the standard pocket edition, and more nearly a pocket size. It is printed from new plates in the same size type and on the same high-grade Oxford India Bible paper used in the standard pocket edition. However, the binding, instead of being full limp, is flexible morocco, paper lined, with round corners and gilt edges.

The new edition is published in blue and in black morocco, price $4.00; six or more, each $3.75.

Orders and remittances for the new edition should be sent to Harry I. Hunt, Publishers' Agent, 107 Falmouth Street, Boston, Massachusetts, U. S. A.

New Braille Edition of Science and Health

The new Braille edition of the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, now on sale is a great improvement over previous editions. By employing two-side embossing or interpointing, it has been possible to produce the textbook in Revised Braille in five compact volumes weighing ten pounds less than in previous editions, in which one-side embossing was used. Besides being so much lighter in weight, the new volumes are smaller in bulk; each is approximately 11 x 11 inches, a most convenient size for the Braille reader.

The first two pages in each volume contain a brief but comprehensive explanation of Revised Braille, Grade One and a Half, in raised roman letters easily read by sight, and also the complete Revised Braille alphabet, together with punctuation marks, numerals, word and part-word signs, and compound signs.

The new edition is embossed on heavy ledger paper, substantially bound in black fabrikoid, and the backs stamped in gold. Price of the five volumes, $12.50 net, postpaid to any address. Volumes are not sold singly. Orders and remittances should be sent to Harry I. Hunt, Publishers' Agent, 107 Falmouth Street, Boston, Massachusetts, U. S. A.

FROM THE PUBLISHING SOCIETY

Announcements of Publishing Society items will now be found on the inside front cover of the Sentinel.

Articles, Poems, and Testimonies

The Christian Science Publishing Society accepts religious articles and religious poems only from members of The Mother Church. Contributions from them are cordially welcomed. Metaphysical or religious articles intended for The Christian Science Journal, the Christian Science Sentinel, or The Christian Science Monitor should be sent to The Christian Science Publishing Society, Journal, Sentinel, and Herald Editorial Department, 107 Falmouth Street, Boston, Massachusetts. Preferably, contributors should correspond for themselves. This request applies also to articles and poems intended for any edition of The Herald of Christian Science, but articles and poems for the Heralds must be suitable for prior publication in the Journal or the Sentinel. A memorandum for contributors of religious articles and poems can be obtained from the Journal, Sentinel, and Herald Editorial Department by request.

Convincing testimonies of Christian Science healing are also desired by the Journal, Sentinel, and Herald Editorial Department. Each testimony should be verified by three members of The Mother Church who either know of the healing or can vouch for the integrity of the testifier. If, however, the testifier is not acquainted with three members of The Mother Church, his affidavit may be sufficient; but in this case he should, if possible, obtain verification from one or two members of The Mother Church. The testifier himself should obtain the necessary verifications. Complete addresses of the testifier and those who vouch for him should be furnished with each testimony.

Source of Quotations

Contributors to the periodicals of articles, poems, and testimonies are asked to note that the source of all quotations, direct or indirect, should be given. The name of the author and of the work from which any quotation is taken, together with the page, should be specified.

The Tenets may also be obtained in either size, printed on alternate pages in English and German, English and French, English and Italian, or English and Polish.
