Christian Science was brought to the attention of my family when I was about nine years old. Because of the very anxious and fearful thought held over me by my parents, I had never been healthy. Any unusual excitement and many foods caused a stomach disorder, and I suffered from nausea. Healings of this disorder, malarial fever, and nervous chills were among the first that I experienced. Through the faithful work of a practitioner I was healed of influenza in a week. The pain was so intense when this attack came that I could not be still.

A more recent healing was that of periodic severe pain and cramps. Although always helped by a practitioner or through my own work, I was not healed until I realized that I was being mesmerized into accepting this condition as real and necessary. I am grateful to be free from this error.
