Our Opportunity

We are bidden every week to feasts that divine Love has prepared for us, namely, the church services on Sunday and Wednesday.

On page 106 of "Miscellaneous Writings" Mrs. Eddy writes: "Your Sunday Lesson, composed of Scripture and its correlative in 'Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures,' has fed you." And speaking of the midweek service, on page 149 of the same book, our Leader writes, "Invite all cordially and freely to this banquet of Christian Science, this feast and flow of Soul."

When invited to such feasts shall we not be eager to accept? Shall we not present ourselves promptly "with one accord in one place"? Mortal mind would like to use apathy, habitual tardiness, a mistaken sense of duty elsewhere, delayed transportation, bad weather, and such like, as hindrances to our being in the right place at the right time, and so cause deprivation to us and confusion to others at these services.
