Thou Leadest Me

Thou leadest me!
What matters then the load
Of seeming burdens? What the rocky way,
When angels bear me up, direct my feet
So that I stumble not?

Thou leadest me!
Then if my brother fall
Shall I not, with my right hand held in thine,
Reach down my left and gently lift him up
And turn his eyes toward thy light of Truth?

Thou leadest me!
O Father-Mother God,
Why should I fear? Why reach for earthly gain?
Thou, and Thou only, canst give peace and joy
And treasure that throughout eternity
Shall dim not nor decay—Thou givest love.
