That "which was lost"

In the fifteenth chapter of Luke's Gospel are recorded Jesus' parables of the finding of that "which was lost." In simple language is shown each step necessary in working metaphysically for restoration. Jesus' listeners were in need of the lessons contained in these parables; and we, as Christian Scientists, are in need of the same lessons.

What is the healing of disease but the finding of that "which was lost," namely, health and harmony? The healing of a sick body, a sick business, a sick home, a sick world, is the restoration of that "which was lost." The same is true of the healing of sin. The student of Christian Science who uses this teaching in his everyday life can honestly sing in the words of a well-loved hymn,
