Testing Times

One morning a teacher told her little folks at school that she was going to give them a test in arithmetic. The children clapped their hands joyously and were eager to start solving the problems. The incident awakened in one student's heart gratitude for the lesson taught, and made her understand more clearly the Master's statement regarding children, "Of such is the kingdom of heaven."

How we should benefit by holding this attitude of thought at the testing times in human experience! How much more quickly the problems would be solved by holding to the joyous, happy thought that they afford opportunities of putting into practice the truths of Christian Science which we have been learning!

Because they had been learning something of the rules of arithmetic, the school children were not afraid to attempt the solution of their problems. Neither should we, as Christian Scientists, entertain thoughts of fear in connection with our problems; for we are learning right ways of solving them through the understanding of the divine Principle, Love.
