Readjustment in Business
IN business and industry it is recognized that readjustment in every direction is a great necessity of the hour, but opinions differ as to how this is to be brought about. In Christian Science — the Science of Mind, divine Principle — is found the solution of all our problems; and the present economic situation, in its relation to each individual, as well as to the world at large, is no exception. Indeed, the great need in human affairs is their constant readjustment in accordance with divine Principle.
We know that there is unchanging Principle underlying and harmonizing all the laws of the universe; for otherwise there could be no stability. Were each law not in harmony with every other law, one law might oppose or destroy another; therefore, a so-called destructible or destructive law is not and never could be an actuality.
Divine Principle, the basis of true law, is Truth. Principle must be good, and all the laws and facts that are based upon it must also be good. Principle, which is the cause of the spiritual universe, including spiritual man, and which controls and harmonizes the operation of the laws and facts of intelligence, must be infinite intelligence, the one divine Mind. The attitude of Mind, or divine intelligence, toward its universe of laws and facts that are perfect is a loving attitude. Mind, characterized by intelligent appreciation of the goodness of everything in its universe — its reflection — must be Love. In Christian Science we are taught to recognize "Principle," "Truth," "Mind," "Love," as synonyms for God.
