Fourteen years ago we first experienced Christian Science healing in our home. At that time my sister was very ill. The physicians could do nothing further for her; she was said to be a case for a surgeon. Christian Science had been presented to us some months previous to this; and although we knew very little of it, except that it was good, we decided to ask for treatment. In two weeks my sister was completely and permanently healed.

Although I witnessed this wonderful healing, it was not until four years later that I began to study Christian Science. Since that time I have had numerous blessings. I have been healed of influenza, neuralgia, biliousness, coughs, colds, a weak chest, throat troubles, burns from acid, and other physical ills. When one of our family passed on we were all protected, comforted, uplifted, and healed of the sense of sorrow or loss. A healing for which I am especially grateful is that of a deep sense of resentment. This discord was completely overcome on reading these words by Mrs. Eddy (Miscellaneous Writings, p. 391; Poems, p. 38):
