Words are inadequate to express my gratitude for Christian Science,...

Words are inadequate to express my gratitude for Christian Science, for the wonderful sense of the nearness of God and for the protection it has given me.

I should like to tell of the comfort and help Christian Science was to me when suddenly left with two small children. Without it the way through such a dark time would have seemed impossible, but all our needs have been met. When I learned the lesson of obedience, trusting and leaving all to God, instead of planning and outlining, the way opened for me to earn an adequate living for myself and the children.

I should also like to tell of the protection Christian Science was to my little boy some time ago. When on his way home one day he was knocked down by a car. A policeman insisted on rushing him off to a hospital, but he was found to be almost unhurt, the only evidence there was to the contrary being a bald patch on his head, where the crank handle of the car struck him. This is now quite covered again. He went to school perfectly well in two or three days, much to the astonishment of everybody.
