In the autumn of 1927 Christian Science was first presented to me by a friend, and very soon afterwards I procured the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, and began to study it. Since then my most earnest desire has been really to understand this wonderful teaching and to be able to demonstrate it in my life. Many blessings have come to me through Christian Science and through the help of loving practitioners, and I feel urged to express my great gratitude. Above all, I am grateful that through Mrs. Eddy's interpretation of the Bible I have learned to understand God as Love, and thereby have become much more confident and happy, so that I am gradually losing all thought of fear, and am seeing more and more of good and recognizing the unreality of error.

Two years ago I was confronted with many difficult situations in matters of finance and in the administration of my estate; but even with a slight understanding of Christian Science I am looking to the future with confidence, knowing that God leads and governs. The attitude of one of my fellow men would also have caused me great anxiety at one time, but through Christian Science I have learned to separate all error from my thought of man. Thus I was also helped in this difficulty.

I am sincerely grateful for many healings through Christian Science. For more than twenty years I had been obliged to take something daily to regulate my digestion. In November, 1927, I threw away all my medicines, also those for headaches, colds, and so forth. After about two months of absent treatment by a loving practitioner the indigestion was completely overcome, and it has never returned.
