[Original testimonies in German]

A little over four years ago, after years of illness, I was led to attend a Christian Science service without knowing what it was. I was so attracted by it that I attended the Wednesday evening meetings and Sunday services regularly, procured the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, and, by diligently studying it, was healed in a very short time of pulmonary consumption, an ulcerated stomach, an abdominal complaint, asthma, headaches, and other ailments. As a druggist, my husband, and also the doctors, had done all for me that was materially possible; and then the doctors told my husband that I would hardly live to see the next spring. How grateful I am can only be estimated by those who have been on the edge of the grave, and who have lived without hope in the world. I am most grateful for the spiritual uplifting, the purification of thought from numerous harmful faults, which is going on continually, when I follow the way faithfully and obediently shown us by our dear Master and by our beloved Leader through her works.
Some time ago help was given me for spinal deformity which I had sustained as a child, and which caused me a great deal of pain. All through the years I had been obliged to wear a brace made according to a medical prescription, which, if I moved too much, chafed my body. When I began to study, the pain soon began to abate and now, thanks be to God, my shoulder blade is almost in its right position, so that hardly anything is noticeable. I shall endeavor to prove my gratitude by being more and more loving, pure, unselfish, and alert. Through the help I have received I have become freer and less fearful, and I am endeavoring to help my fellow men as I have been helped.—(Mrs.) Elise Kägeler, Driesen, Neu Mark, Germany.
I corroborate the foregoing testimony of my wife. I, too, have been healed in Christian Science of several complaints, also of smoking and of the need for wearing glasses, for which I am very grateful.—E. Kägeler.
