It is about thirty-two years since I discarded physicians and medicine and began the study of Christian Science. I did not take up Christian Science for physical healing, although from childhood I had never been strong and well, having suffered from many ailments. A friend gave me some Christian Science literature, but as I was not interested I did not read it and left it lying on the table. My husband picked up the literature one evening and, after reading about two hours, laid it down with the remark, "That is what I have been looking for all my life." I then began reading to find out what it was that interested him. I became so interested that I soon secured a copy of the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy; and I have been reading, studying, and demonstrating this beautiful truth ever since that time.
One of the first healings I experienced while yet a very young student, was that of necrosis of the jaw bone. I had some teeth extracted and the bone was found to be necrosed. The dentist said the bone must be scraped, but knowing I was studying Christian Science told me to try it first. This I did, and the condition was completely healed in a few days.
