I should like to express my gratitude for the many blessings...
I should like to express my gratitude for the many blessings and healings we have received through the study of Christian Science. The healing which stands foremost in my thought is one my mother received in June, 1925. She seemed to be suddenly stricken one day with paralysis. It affected her limbs, arms, and speech, and there was also a severe jerking of the head. With the help of a faithful, loving Christian Science practitioner this condition was overcome in about six weeks, and a few weeks later she was able to resume her household duties. There has been no return of this trouble, and she is active to-day.
I also was very grateful for this experience, as the nurse we wanted at the time was not available and I was given the strength to care for my mother and the rest of the household. This meant a great deal to me, as I had never been considered very strong. I am very grateful for other healings we have had, and for the protection experienced while in a tornado five years ago in Sandusky, Ohio. I should feel guilty if I did not express gratitude for The Christian Science Monitor, which I could not afford to be without. I am truly grateful to God, and to our revered Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, for her wonderful revelation of Truth.
