I can never find words in which to express my gratitude...
I can never find words in which to express my gratitude for what Christian Science has done for me. I did not take up the study for myself, but as a last resort for my little daughter. She had been under the care of physicians from the time of her birth, and I hardly knew a day that she was free from some ailment up to the age of six. It had been my experience that "man's extremity is God's opportunity," so I eagerly sought the help of a loving Christian Science practitioner. Up to that time I had kept a large supply of drugs in my house, but after my visit to the practitioner, much to my little girl's joy, all the drugs were got rid of. With one treatment she was healed, and freed from pain which was the result of stomach trouble. This was several years ago, and since then she has relied only on divine Love.
I have been healed both mentally and physically. Some of my problems have yielded slowly, but I can look back and realize that I needed patience and spiritual understanding. If we listen to the "still small voice," we can leave it with God and "be still, and know" that He is ever present and will guide us through all our problems. Jesus reflected peace and harmony, and it should be our effort to follow each day our Master's example. "God is no respecter of persons," and when we have opened up our hearts to Truth and Love our fears and pains will vanish. I am more than grateful for the earnest desire to learn and know more about God.
