In the hope that this testimony may help others, I send it...
In the hope that this testimony may help others, I send it with great gratitude. Three years and a half ago my eldest boy, who is now seventeen, was given up by the doctor. He was suffering from heart disease. On the morning when the doctor told me he could do no more I had to go to see a friend on business who was a Christian Scientist. Seeing my distress she said, "Your boy, John, is God's perfect child; no harm can come to him." She wrote me out those beautiful words by Mrs. Eddy on page 494 of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures": "Divine Love always has met and always will meet every human need." The next day the boy came downstairs and was about the house doing little jobs for me: he was healed. From then on I heard no complaint; he gained strength rapidaly, and the healing has been permanent. He underwent a physical examination before starting work, and the doctor passed him as perfectly sound. Through missing school so much he was a very poor scholar and could not read, but after going to the Christian Science Sunday School he became a splendid reader. I can never express in words my gratitude for this healing. It has brought eight of us into this wonderful religion.
We have had in a short time many other healings for the children, my husband, and myself. The Bible has become a book to be loved, studied, and used in daily life, instead of a closed book. We have had business problems of all kinds solved.
I myself was a sick, weary woman, never going out without tablets in my bag. For these three and a half years we have taken no medicine or material remedies of any kind. I have been healed of nerve trouble and sick headaches; and in one of the loved Wednesday evening testimony meetings I was healed instantaneously of an internal trouble. I do thank God that He led me to Christian Science.
