I should like to add my testimony to the many I have...
I should like to add my testimony to the many I have read in The Christian Science Journal and Christian Science Sentinel. I did not come into Christian Science for physical healing, but was patiently and lovingly brought into this beautiful teaching through Mrs. Eddy's writings.
After I became interested in Christian Science one of my first healing was that of neuritis headaches. This was a slow healing, taking many months. During this period I never despaired, although at times a sense of discouragement seemed to creep in. I always received quick relief from a practitioner when unable to help myself; and with constant application of the truth I was healed. This was several years ago. Since then I have been healed of bowel trouble and influenza. A sprained ankle was healed instantaneously, the pain leaving immediately with just a few words spoken of the truth; and the swelling disappeared in a few days. I am also reminded of a very beautiful healing of ear trouble, which seemed so intangible that I hardly knew how to meet it. The words came to me, God controls the things that are not seen; and through absolute reliance on divine Principle I was healed. A very harmonious home condition has been brought about through strict obedience to our Leader's writings.I am very grateful for the physical healing, of which there have been many more than here stated; but I am most grateful for the spiritual understanding we gain in studying Christian Science. Each day brings loving proof of God's tender care and protection; each trial seems a stepping-stone to grace. I am grateful for being a member of The Mother Church and of a branch church; grateful to God, the Giver of all good; grateful to our Master and Saviour, Christ Jesus, and to our dear Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, who through a self-sacrificing life brought this truth again to men.
