"Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me

"Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me. And I knew that thou hearest me always." These words, spoken by Jesus at the tomb of Lazarus, have comforted me in many trials. On one occasion, when the barriers of material sense seemed unsurmountable, I was encouraged to press on by clinging constantly to them.

It is my privilege to express my gratitude for many healings in Christian Science. I was completely healed of severe stomach trouble and indigestion while studying "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. I studied for understanding, and the healing came before I realized it. I had worn glasses for more than twenty years, and they were laid aside after one treatment from a practitioner. I have never needed them since.

Many lost articles have been recovered by knowing that nothing in God's kingdom can be lost, misplaced, stolen, or injured. I was knocked down by a taxicab and the setting from my diamond ring was lost; but in ten minutes it was found and returned to me, and the finder refused remuneration. He was one of a large crowd in New York City. The damage to my clothing was paid for without asking, and I was unhurt. I realized through it all that Mrs. Eddy's words (Miscellaneous Writings, p. 389; Poems, p. 4), "His arm encircles me, and mine, and all," are true and afford great protection.
