I write this testimony with the sincere desire that it may help some mother who may be inquiring into Christian Science. Nearly four years ago the blessed light of Christian Science dawned in our home through the instantaneous healing of one of our children, then a baby seven months old. As I tried one day to hold to the truth of being, as we do in Christian Science, the child seemed so ill that, full of fear, I reached for a material remedy that had been used before. Then into my troubled thought came this message: Every true thought you are thinking has the power of God behind it; and as I realized the truth I knew the child was healed. I shall never forget this experience and the wonderful light that came to me at that time.

Our family of five have all experienced the healing power of Christian Science. The healing of one of our children did not seem complete until one day, as I read the Lesson-Sermon given in the Christian Science Quarterly, I was grateful beyond words to realize that I had been unconsciously holding in thought that the condition had a place. As this was seen and corrected, the healing was completed. Through listening to a Christian Science lecture I was healed of seeking the truth with a wrong motive. I had previously sought it more for the blessings it offered, and now I saw my only need was for humility and a better understanding of God's Word. As I cherished this humble desire I realized the truth contained in our Master's admonition, "Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you."

I feel a deep sense of gratitude for the better understanding of God as infinite Love, which Christian Science has revealed to me. I am grateful for the loving practitioners and all the activities of the Christian Science movement, and for membership in The Mother Church and in a branch church.—(Mrs.) Mary Barrand, Manchester, Lancashire, England.
