"Divine Love always has met and always will meet every human need." Through these inspiring words on page 494 of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, a ray of sunshine brightened my thought. It silenced the error which was trying to handle me, and filled my consciousness with love and gratitude for Christian Science. My human experience up to the time that our family became interested in Christian Science seemed to consist of a series of illnesses. Having had three attacks of pneumonia, at the age of nine I became subject to attacks of herpes iris. One of these attacks nearly proved fatal. It was at this time that we became interested in Christian Science, and I was sent to a school where I learned more of Christian Science. There I learned about the real man made in the image and likeness of God, who reflects the priceless quality of joy. When I gained the understanding that God is always present and that man cannot be separated from God, the bondage of fear and depression was broken. Clad with this new armor of Truth, I found that the illusions of material sense soon vanished into nothingness, leaving me with the precious jewel of happiness.

I am very grateful for instruction in the Christian Science Sunday School which I was privileged to have until I reached the age of twenty; and I am grateful also for the inspiration there received to be of service to the world.
