Lecturer: Bliss Knapp; introduced by William Charles Brookes, who said:—

For many years before I heard of Christian Science I had been studying the Bible and seeking in vain for the health and strength which it promises to all believers. That, of course, is a very common experience. Then I heard of Christian Science and commenced to study the Bible with the help of the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, and I at once began to receive daily more and more of health and strength, through that new birth, that regeneration, of which Christ Jesus spoke, and which seemed so astonishing to Nicodemus: "Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again. ... Art thou a master of Israel, and knowest not these things?"
