Over ten years ago I attended a Christian Science lecture, but all I could remember after the lecture was, "Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you." I had seemingly sought for everything else but God. I did not come into Christian Science for physical healing, but ever since I was a young girl I had been subject to quinsy sore throat; and the last physician told me that I would have it all my life unless I had my tonsils removed. Shortly after that I took up Christian Science; and through reading the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, and being diligent in attending the church services, I was healed, and have never had a recurrence of that trouble.
One evening I fell and sprained my ankle. The pain was intense, so that I could not stand on my foot at all. I had to be assisted to the telephone in order to call a practitioner, and she lovingly told me not to be afraid. That was about seven-thirty, and at nine o'clock the pain began to subside. The next morning I was able to be at the office. A wart on my thimble finger was causing me considerable trouble, but it was removed by knowing that "every plant, which my heavenly Father hath not planted, shall be rooted up." I am humbly grateful for all that Christian Science has done for me both physically and financially.
