Christian Science has been such a help to me, in so many ways, that I wish to give my testimony in the hope that it may be as helpful to others as the experiences of others have been to me. As a college student, Christian Science has been such a comfort to me amidst the fallacies, doubts, and fears of so-called natural science, psychology, and philosophy. I am grateful because I can see the leaven of Christian Science exerting a powerful influence for good in nearly all branches of thought and endeavor, including natural science, theology, philosophy, and sociology. Especially can this be seen in the thought expressed these days by students in their intercollegiate and Young Men's Christian Association meetings.

I am also grateful to Christian Science for many physical healings, including that of a broken knee cap, fainting spells, colds which used to hold me in bondage all winter, a malicious and severe form of bladder trouble, and minor difficulties. One healing which I wish to mention especially was that of blood poisoning in the hand. It was a severe case, according to those who saw it, but I did not go to a physician or employ a single material remedy, though at times the pain was almost unbearable. All this time I had a practitioner helping me. Although great fear was expressed by some in my family, my grandmother, mother, and I kept proving our faith in God's omnipotent power to heal; and He did not fail us. The healing was accomplished beautifully and effectually, much to the surprise of several people.

But Christian Science is not alone a healer. Mrs. Eddy says that Christian Science is prophylactic as well as therapeutic, preventive as well as curative. (See page 369 of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures.") Christian Science has been a constant guide and helper in many ways, namely, in aiding me in establishing satisfactory relations in my work of teaching, in overcoming lack and other discordant conditions, and in bringing comfort and assurance when a dear one passed on.
