In 1926 I grew very weak and looked ill. At the desire of my relatives I consulted a physician, who diagnosed incipient diabetes and prescribed a course of treatment. About this time I learned of Christian Science through an acquaintance. He advised me to attend the Christian Science services and meetings, and especially to get in touch with a practitioner. I did so. Through the practitioner I obtained the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, and began at once to study the Lesson-Sermons in the Christian Science Quarterly. After hardly a week of studying the Lesson-Sermons I went to see the practitioner again, and during our conversation I was told that it is the truth which makes mankind free, and that I, too, could be healed of this sickness by divine Truth and Love. I read diligently and attended the services and meetings. Medical examinations which I had to undergo at intervals of three months, convinced me that I was quite free from the complaint mentioned above.

My daughter, now twenty years old, had a healing experience. From childhood she had suffered from headaches caused by polypus. This complaint became much worse, and she could breathe only through her mouth. It, too, was overcome in Christian Science with the help of a practitioner, in one treatment.

Next to God, I owe these healings primarily to Christian Science, and express my great gratitude to it.
