It is with gratitude to Christ Jesus, the Way-shower; to Mrs. Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science; and to all those who have so lovingly helped me in my endeavors to gain an understanding of the truth as revealed in Christian Science, that I write this testimony.

Although Christian Science was first brought to my attention over twenty-five years ago, when I was a student of medicine in an eastern university, I did not come in direct contact with its teachings or usage until I came west some time later, after one of my school years.

After coming to Colorado I made my home with a family of Christian Scientists and the subject of healing through the application of this Science came up in the course of our conversation. I remember remarking, feeling very sure of myself and the impossibility of certain diseases being cured, that when I saw a case of epilepsy or tuberculosis in its advanced stages healed, I would be ready to take up the study of Christian Science. It was only a few weeks until the healing of both of these dreaded diseases, through the application of Christian Science treatment, was brought to my notice, in both cases the patients being so completely restored to health that there was no room for argument against taking up this study.
