It is with gratitude to Christ Jesus, the Way-shower; to Mrs. Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science; and to all those who have so lovingly helped me in my endeavors to gain an understanding of the truth as revealed in Christian Science, that I write this testimony.

Although Christian Science was first brought to my attention over twenty-five years ago, when I was a student of medicine in an eastern university, I did not come in direct contact with its teachings or usage until I came west some time later, after one of my school years.
