[Written for the Sentinel]

"God shall wipe away all tears"

And our "God shall wipe away all tears"
From every eye;
With His loving care calm all our fears,
Lest death seem nigh.

He will ease our pain and grant us peace
From error's din;
He will bid the angry tumult cease,
Destroy all sin.

He will take away all care and grief,
And help us here,
From every ill to gain relief,
For God is near.
