Signs of the Times

The spirit of this age is the spirit of service. There are many and diverse forces and influences tending to draw men out of selfishness and sordidity, and to put them into the way of serving their fellow-men usefully. This is done through religious, fraternal, and philanthropic organizations, and through service clubs. The Golden Rule is having the dust of the ages wiped off it, and it is being put into practice more generally to-day, perhaps, than in any age of the world's history.
