Over fifteen years ago Christian Science found me in the condition stated on page 22 of the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, namely: "Waking to Christ's demand, mortals experience suffering. This causes them, even as drowning men, to make vigorous efforts to save themselves; and through Christ's precious love these efforts are crowned with success." Suffering from lung trouble and many other inharmonious conditions, some of which were of long duration, some said to be incurable, and some said to be hereditary, I purchased a copy of Science and Health and began to read. With the loving help of a practitioner I soon began to improve. One by one the troubles from which I suffered disappeared as I learned that they were not from an all-loving Father-Mother God, that all disease is mental, and that we are transformed by the renewing of the mind, as Paul tells us in Romans.

Christian Science has taught me to be more loving, kind, gentle, considerate, and forgiving in my dealings with my fellow-men. Words fail to express my gratitude to God for the blessings received; to Mrs. Eddy for revealing this truth; and to the Master for showing the way out by right thinking about God and man. Only by living in obedience to divine Principle can my appreciation be shown. It is a joy to be a member of The Mother Church, an active member of a local Christian Science Society, and to have had the privilege of class instruction.
