It has long been my desire to express my sincere gratitude...
It has long been my desire to express my sincere gratitude for the many blessings which have come to me through the study and application of Christian Science. A great sense of fear, worry, and doubt has been gradually replaced by more love, peace, and contentment in my daily life. This has resulted in a healing of chronic constipation and sick headaches, from which I suffered for many years. My whole life has been changed; and daily I am learning to overcome self. It is putting off the "old man" and putting on the new which regenerates.
I have always been very grateful for our much loved literature. It was through the close and continual reading of The Christian Science Journal and Christian Science Sentinel that I learned to understand our textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, which was indeed the "key" that unlocked the truths of the Bible, then a closed book, but now my daily companion.
I have had trials many all along the way, but they only bring me, each time, nearer to God! After reading "The Life of Mary Baker Eddy" by Sibyl Wilbur the second time, I realized more fully what it cost our revered Leader, Mrs. Eddy, to give this new-old truth to the world. It resulted in a beautiful healing for me; and I can never forget the deep love and humility which came over me as I closed the book, and my gratitude to God for having given us this gentle woman, the revelator, who gave so much to a hungry world and asked so little.
