I became interested in Christian Science when I saw that...

I became interested in Christian Science when I saw that it was the religion I wanted, but I did not take up the study until in need of physical healing. I had been in the hospital with pneumonia, which seemed to leave my lung sore and weak, and I had a great fear of further lung trouble. I visited a practitioner and talked with her, and as we live in the country I had absent treatment for two weeks—and all fear left. For this healing I am very grateful. It is a great blessing to have the help of Science on the farm and to see how quickly the animals respond to the truth. We live about six miles out and have attended church regularly for ten years. Our son has been in the Sunday school and can demonstrate for himself in the handling of the animals for whom he cares.

We have had many physical healings for which I am very grateful; but nothing can be compared to the peace that comes to me because of the clearer understanding I have of God and of man's relationship to Him. I am very grateful to our Leader, Mrs. Eddy, for her great love for man; to practitioners; and to all who have helped us to learn more of this truth.—(Mrs.) Bessie Freeman, Manhattan, Kansas.
