The teachings of the Science of Christianity have been an unceasing cause of gratitude for many years, and I feel it is time that some expression of it from me appeared in one of the periodicals. Though I have had physical healings, it is perhaps for the healing of character that I am most grateful. As I look back on former years, I see myself as more than ordinarily cross-grained and selfish; but through the influence of Christian Science I now rejoice in the overcoming in some measure of these unlovely traits.

My two younger children were born under Christian Science treatment. I had a Christian Science nurse, a practitioner in London helped me, and the births were normal and safe. Constipation, which was a very trying condition for some months previously in each case, was met by Christian Science alone, and I did not take any medicine at any time. Almost complete immunity from colds, coughs, and influenza, in my children and myself, is another cause for thankfulness, and shows the protection that is afforded by an understanding of Christian Science.

The wide spiritual outlook and happiness that Christian Science gives are a constant source of inspiration. They help one to work and watch and pray for its universal establishment, and to follow in the way that our revered Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, made so plain.—(Mrs.) Florence L. Anstey, Cheadle, Staffordshire, England.
