One of the greatest blessings in my life has been the privilege of attending the Christian Science Sunday School. It is through this wonderful activity that I have been enabled to gain a small understanding of the beautiful truth taught and demonstrated in Christian Science. During the ten years in which it has been my privilege to attend the Christian Science Sunday School, I have had innumerable opportunities of proving God's omnipotence and omnipresence. I should like to relate one experience which stands out very clearly as a positive proof that Love "never faileth" and that "perfect love casteth out fear."

When I was a senior in high school the argument presented itself that a certain subject was very difficult for me to master. Instead of denying this falsity at once, I let it grow, and so came under its suppositional power. It kept growing until my marks became such that, had I known nothing about Christian Science, failure would have been inevitable. My teacher, knowing that I was putting forth my best efforts in that subject and that my graduation depended upon my passing in it, did all in her power to aid me, but still I did not succeed in gaining an understanding of the required work. The fear that failure was certain was the error that was holding me back.

A few days before the final semester examination, after every material means had proved futile, and mortal mind with its arguments of fear and confusion seemed to be controlling me, I realized that "man's extremity is God's opportunity," and so I turned to that "perfect love" which "casteth out fear." Through the loving help of a very dear Christian Science friend, all sense of fear and discouragement was entirely overcome before the examination took place. I went to the classroom with perfect confidence in the power of God, knowing that Love "never faileth," and so man, the reflection of divine Love, "never faileth." I worked every problem immediately, and, needless to say, the results were harmonious. I had made only one slight error, so was given a mark of ninety-eight. Seventy was the mark required for passing.

One of the most beautiful physical healings I have ever experienced was that of an abnormal growth on my foot which caused a sense of great pain. I endeavored for some time to overcome this myself, but the intense suffering at length compelled me to ask for help. This was lovingly given; and in less than twenty-four hours after help had been secured a complete healing had taken place. That was several years ago, and I have never been troubled with the foot since.

A year ago last winter a sore throat which had troubled me for several weeks was entirely healed within a few days after I had asked for help. Headache, toothache, and other minor ills have been instantaneously healed through the application of Christian Science. Ever since knowing of the healing power of Truth I have relied on it entirely, and my healings have always been brought about quickly and completely. Christian Science is not only curative, but preventive as well. Due to God's protecting power, I have never suffered from any very severe sickness. I have been exposed to contagious diseases (both diphtheria and scarlet fever), but have never come under their supposed power.

These are only a few of the many proofs I have had of the availability and efficacy of Christian Science; and I know that, whether the difficulty is physical or mental, it can always be perfectly overcome whenever the truth is rightly applied. For every experience I have had that has given me an opportunity to learn more about the truth, and for all the blessings I have received through Christian Science, I am more grateful than words can express. I am grateful for every activity in the Christian Science movement; for all the literature and the Lesson-Sermons; to all those who have helped me along the way; for the help and inspiration I have received from my Sunday school teacher; for our dear Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, who has made it possible for each one of us to know and to demonstrate the truth that makes us free; to Christ Jesus, the Way-shower; and to God, the Giver of all good.

My strongest and highest desire is that I may so let my light shine that others may see my good works and glorify my Father which is in heaven. Only in this way can I truly express gratitude for all that I owe to Christian Science.
