I am giving my testimony in the hope that someone will be benefited as I have been by the testimonies given at the Wednesday evening meetings and by those published in the Christian Science literature. They encouraged me to keep on, as my healings were very slow. I took up the study of Christian Science after doctors had failed to help me. I was suffering from extreme nervousness, and was filled with a great sense of fear. I learned through the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, that God is the only power, the source of all good, and that therefore there is nothing to be afraid of. Evil is not a power, but a false belief; and the only power it seems to have is the power we give it by believing in it. This fear did not leave instantly. Many times it suggested itself; but each time the truth was declared its duration was shorter, till at last it disappeared entirely. All my ailments resulting from this fear are disappearing since I have learned to know what God is and what man's relation to Him is.

While I am grateful for the physical healings, I am more grateful for the spiritual uplift and mental peace which come through the study of Christian Science. I have also learned that sometimes we do not receive our healings by reading the Christian Science textbook alone, but by putting into practice and living what we read.
