Eight years ago I was ill and discouraged, for I thought I could never be well again. I was suffering from stomach trouble, lumbago, and bilious trouble. I had tried several physicians, but received very little help; and at last man's extremity was God's opportunity. Some of my healings were instantaneous; others came after weeks and months of diligent study of the Bible in connection with the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. Since I began the study of Christian Science, God has been my only physician.

I am learning that all errors must be overcome, such as resentment, selfishness, criticism, hatred, and so on; that they must be rooted out of consciousness; that thought must be watched continually; and that we must ever strive to have more of that Mind in us "which was also in Christ Jesus," as Paul admonishes. Mrs. Eddy writes (Miscellaneous Writings, p. 118), "Be of good cheer; the warfare with one's self is grand; it gives one plenty of employment, and the divine Principle worketh with you,—and obedience crowns persistent effort with everlasting victory."

As we are obedient, and demonstrate our unity with divine Principle in our daily experiences, we shall realize our God-given dominion.
